Selections from the archive of Lora Webb Nichols, 1899–1948. Nichols ran a photofinishing business in southern Wyoming and both made her own pictures and collected those of the amateurs around her. Culled from more than 24,000 negatives, the selection opens a window onto the social, domestic and economic life of the American western frontier and catches an elusive sense of place through the faces of a community of friends, families and strangers.
