The first volume its author published, and one of the cornerstones of the new expressive currents that appeared in Italian photography in the nineteen-seventies. Made in Modena by Punto e Virgola under the direction of Luigi Ghirri, with a text by Jean-Claude Lemagny, it gathers the work begun in 1972 on the invaded city: the built environment seen as a place occupied by signs, by advertising, by objects and by the traces of other people, where what is recorded is less the architecture than what has come to cover it.
