Unknown until now, the frames by Guido Rossa reveal a gifted self-taught maker. Above all they bear witness to a many-sided, curious, grasping and poetic personality: attentive to the children of Nepal as to the old people of Genoa or the fishermen of the Riviera, sensitive to small glimpses of the Ligurian hinterland as to the dizzying panoramas of the Alps or the Himalaya.

They were made during an exceptionally intense season in the political and social history of Italy.
