A project made between 2017 and 2022 on violence against women and violence inside a couple, and the first monograph by Camille Gharbi. It brings together three series: Preuves d'amour, which sets out the fact of that violence; Une chambre à soi, which asks how former victims rebuild themselves; and Les monstres n'existent pas, on whether the men who commit it can undo their relation to it.

Each series speaks in its own way of the reality of that violence, of its intensity and of its ordinariness. Through these individual and particular stories, told in pictures and in words, it is society as a whole that has to face up to it. Four writers and specialists were invited to set out their reading of the subject and of the work.
