The title is a schoolboy pun, and it says what the traveller is up to: a young eye refusing to be imprisoned by the weight of the historical situation. Like a stray dog, but smarter and more naturally aristocratic, L'Hardy wandered the Polish capital, setting his quick eye down here and there, catching a scene, picking up signs, looking for the lines that might form the coordinates of a whole wandering vision.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
