Produced for the exhibition Tokyo Revisited: Daido Moriyama with Shomei Tomatsu, installed at MAXXI, the national museum of twenty-first century arts in Rome, from April to October 2022. The show was a touring version of one held at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris the previous year, and this is an enlarged and revised edition of that catalogue.

It consists of three parts: a gathering of Moriyama's work, a gathering of Tomatsu's, and a volume of texts. The Roman version also contains Moriyama's most recent interview.
