Following the creation of the Grand Est region, made up of Alsace, Lorraine and Champagne-Ardenne, five French photographers were invited to explore this territory freely and to offer their vision of it. Lionel Bayol-Themines, whose work engages aerial photography in the context of new technologies; Beatrix Von Conta, who enters the intimacy of landscapes to grasp their fragility; Olivia Gay, a portraitist concerned with the place of women in social space; Bertrand Stofleth, who observes the impact of human development on the environment and on traditional landscape structures; and Eric Tabuchi, photographer of the Natural Regions and their formal aesthetic. Each proposes a singular perspective on this rich and diverse territory.
