For the first time the artist worked in his own country, exploring one of the most forgotten areas of Italy, the delta of the Po. The look and the rhythm both come from cinema and music, from Tom Waits to Nick Cave, from Jim Jarmusch to Wim Wenders. The river becomes a metaphor, a winding path to follow in search of a place that might not even exist, and the sense of feeling out of place runs through the whole sequence.
