“Gut Holz” is the bowlers' greeting to one another. Together with photographer Rolf Siegenthaler, Fabienne Eggelhöfer and Monica Lutz (Die schönsten Tea Rooms der Schweiz, Edition Patrick Frey, 2004) present an aesthetic selection of bowling alleys in Switzerland. Long popular, the sport of nine-pin bowling is gradually dying out here, and with it the alleys as venues are directly endangered. The two editors do justice to this circumstance with their latest book.
