A.C. Kupper collects images, his own and appropriated ones. The internet with its abundance of publicized private spheres, the multitude of images published in books, print media and films, and his own photographs are an inexhaustible source. The newly created images convey a vision of mutation and a sense of creeping alienation. Kupper's laconic humour, his aesthetic composition and the gentle, almost painterly line sharpen everything further, making the future even less promising. In Revolutionäre Mittelklasse the modern human appears as a being without identity, without gender and without history; the distorted faces seem uncanny, their tragedy involuntarily comic and empty.
