The European Photo Exhibition Award (epea) aims to create a free space where socially relevant topics concerning Europe are developed and discussed by talented photographers who live and work in Europe. For this second round the photographers were given an assignment to depict Europe in flux with the topic “The New Social”. Epea is an initiative under the auspices of the Körber-Stiftung (Germany), the Fondation Calouste Gulbenkian – Délégation en France (Portugal), Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca (Italy) and the Fritt Ord Foundation (Norway). The foundations provide project support to the selected photographers, organise workshops for the photographers and the curators, and facilitate the exhibition tour in the four countries.
